01Protocol Technical Context

GTT in Mobile Networks

Global Title Translation (GTT) is the equivalent of DNS for the SS7/SIGTRAN signaled network. It allows an SCCP (Signaling Connection Control Part) hop to determine the destination Point Code (DPC) and Subsystem Number (SSN) based on a dialed or encoded digits.

Nature of Address (NoA): Indicates if the address is Subscriber, National, or International.
Numbering Plan (NP): Usually E.164 (ISDN) or E.212 (IMSI).
